Yesterday, I had so much fun photographing Ryan & Kayla's wedding. They are two of the sweetest people I have ever met! Their wedding was super-sweet and they did a great job with the western theme...the decorations were gorgeous! Anyway...here are just a few of my favorites...many more coming soon!

Well, I have decided to start a new blog that shows off my photos much better! So, if you've been following this one you'll want to make a note that my new blog is at www.flutterbyphoto.wordpress.com. I'm not deleting this blog but all new posts will be on the new one. My husband is also working on my new website...yippee...It should be live in a month or so. I also have some new products that I will be posting about so you'll definitely want to check those out! Thanks again to everyone...I had a great year last year and I'm looking forward to the sessions and weddings this year!

.first christmas.

May each of you be blessed by God's greatest gift of love given to us on that first Christmas so long ago.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not…And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth. John 1:1-5, 14

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

This is also the first Christmas we will share without 3 very special people and each will be be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

Henry Otis - My husband's great-great-uncle passed away January 1, 2008. He was truly a sweet, Christian man. He used to make the best candy ever and he shared several recipes with me, which I will always treasure. We will all miss his smiling face this Christmas.

Alvin "Jiggs" Evers - My great uncle passed away May 14, 2008. He was diagnosed with cancer in January was only given 6 weeks to live but he lived 4 months. He was always the life of the party and ALWAYS had a joke to tell. He loved his garden and always sent vegetables home with us and made home-made pepper relish. I have so many good memories of Jiggs and his dogs that the bad memories from his being so sick have already started to fade. We will sorely miss Jiggs this year and in the years to come.

Vicki Duncan - Mrs. Vicki passed away September 14, 2008. If my mother had a twin it would be Mrs. Vicki - not in looks but in how much they love their girls, and worry about them, and want the very best for them. My mom was so protective of my sister and me and but she always trusted us with Mrs. Vicki. She will always have a very special place in my heart. Jenn, Lisa & Mr. Jim - we are praying for you and thinking of you this Christmas.

On a happier note...my sweet doggie Pepper wants to wish everyone a Merry Christmas as well!

Well...I had my last Christmas session of 2008 Sunday afternoon with 2 of my favorite relatives...Josh and Tonya. Josh is my hubby's cousin but could definitely pass as his brother. Tonya is such a sweet friend and we always have fun together! Here are a few of my faves from their session...more come soon!

I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family Saturday morning. The newest addition to their family arrived on November 24...I can't think of a better Christmas gift! .winter and my favorite boys.

Well...I have to say it was freezing Sunday afternoon. We might have spent 20 minutes outside photographing my sweet nephews and their mommy and daddy. Christopher kept saying, "It's freezing!" The wind was so cold but we managed to get some good shots in despite the cold weather! These boys stole my heart the day they were born and have yet to lighten their grip. So here's a few of my faves of them and my favorite brother-in-law & sister-in-law! :o)

.thanksgiving.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom." Matthew 26:26-29

This precious passage of scripture describes the Last Supper or The Lord's Supper, as we call it today. Jesus was explaining to His disciples what would be taking place in the coming hours. Even at this dark time for Jesus, He prayed and gave thanks for the bread and wine they were about to eat and drink, which were symbols of His body which would be sacrificed for our sins. I really believe He was also thanking God for the salvation that would be given to His people by his dying on the cross.

I can't imagine how dark my life would be without my relationship with God through His Son. This is what I am most grateful for!
