.King of Kings.

Considering the very passionate election from yesterday, I feel the need share some scripture that has been dear to my heart, especially during the past several weeks. The most important thing we need to remember, regardless of whom is president, is that Jesus is our Lord and Savior and He is returning and will rule all nations.

"...And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20 – Jesus said this to His disciples just before his ascension and as Christians, we are His disciples. I can’t imagine how dark my life would be without Him.

" And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:8-11

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place I am going….I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." John 14:1-7 – Here Jesus describes heaven to his disciples. It’s so simple yet so hard for us to comprehend. Which is why we are saved by grace through FAITH. It is so comforting to know that one day I will have the honor of living in the house my Savior has prepared for me!

"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world, the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does – comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires will pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever." 1 John 2:15-17 – This obviously means we should not put our earthly possessions before God but I believe it’s also a reminder that everything on earth will pass away…our pain, sorrows and that the only thing that should matter to us is our relationship with God.

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." "I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was ‘someone like a son of man,’ dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, and white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. Revelation 1:8,12-16 – verse 8 is Jesus talking to John when he appeared to him after his exile to Patmos and verses 12-16 are John’s description of Jesus. What a Mighty God we serve!

"Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen." Revelation 1:7 – As Christians, this will be the fulfillment of our faith…when Jesus comes again. Every person will see him when he returns and acknowledge him as sovereign Lord. Those who did not believe will mourn because of their disbelief.

My prayer is that every person who reads this will be touched by God’s word and will find hope and peace in it.

May God bless America!!!
